Challenge
Pernod Ricard USA launches hundred's of national programs a year requiring shipments of millions of promotional pieces to over 500 different locations managed by 120 sales people. Pernod Ricard USA needed an integrated POS management and fulfillment system that would scale with Pernod Ricard’s rapid growth; integrate the various brands, field sales force and distributors; and provide more control and visibility to corporate. Their objective was to develop a solution that allowed for bottom up and top down budgeting, efficient print runs, easy field ordering, timely fulfillment, and total cost control. They turned to Alcone fulfillment for help in designing, implementing, and managing a total solution.

Solution
Alcone’s in house team developed a web based POS management and fulfillment system, called CONNECT™, that addressed all of Pernod Ricard’s issues from creative and production through fulfillment. The CONNECT™ system efficiently projects print requirement needs, eliminates waste, ties all users together and improves communication. The system allows for multi-tiered online sales allocations, forecasting, materials ordering and on line 24/7 reporting. Pernod Ricard has the ability to administer user access, approve and change budget allocation requests as well as communicate all programs via the website. POS orders are released prior to the program launch to ensure on-time delivery and orders are consolidated by distributor location to save on freight.
